about

Jamaica faces today several battles, and most Jamaicans will tell you the greatest is crime, a subject legendary deejay The Lone Ranger tackled wth style & fashion on his single 'The Mobsta' released right after christmas last year. Illiteracy is also a grave concern, as are threats to the environment through deforestation and overdevelopment.

Due to their state of its economy, Jamaica's total food import bill increased elevenfold from 1960 to 1980! In the 80s, these patterns were likely to persist because fewer younger people were entering farming.

Today, with the world financial and environmental crisis, it's just basic logic of consciousness (with a measure of good humor) which brings Jamaican veteran singers The Lone Ranger and Echo Minott to record this new combination tune, urging their fellow countrymen to go back to the roots, plant their own vineyard and become farmer men again.

The instrumental is a brand new elastic and everlastingly groovy reggae riddim from French producer Grant Phabao who plays all the instruments, while sounding like a vintage Jamaican band playing together.

With some outstanding illustration from graphic designer Ben Hito to complete the package, this new single is another remarkable achievement in an ever-expanding catalog of dynamic coolness for Paris DJs!!
